Tied Untied
Tied Untied I wrap it around my neck. Tie it tight. Like a noose But it is not a noose. Just a symbol, an emblem, there reminding everyone I'm special, important. Maybe they agree and don't just see an adorned ape. By the end of the long day, its presence, its binding is oblivious to me until the very end. I loosen it driving home and feel a calm relief very familiar but still a surprise.
